The Bonepile BBQ Story
Zeke & Lisa Olsen own Bonepile BBQ. They have been traveling and vacationing on the Oregon Coast for the better part of a decade. Zeke grew up in the central Atlantic States, and his family mostly live in the Southeastern US.
Consequently Zeke has had the opportunity to eat and learn the art of BBQ from childhood. Late in 2006 Zeke & Lisa decided to sell their business and real estate in Seattle and they moved to the coast to retire (someday). In 2007 after counting all the grains of sand on the beach, catching entirely too many crab, and collecting more agates from the beach than one should, Zeke decided his encore career should be his passion owning a BBQ shack on the beach.
Our establishment looks like a shack, because it is a shack. The best ‘Q’ is entirely about the meat, spices, technique, and slow cooking over a wood fire. We use mostly local products from our neighbors. We use the finest spices and some truly time tested recipes. Enjoy your meal; we sure are having the ‘Best of Times’ preparing it for you.
Bonepile offers only choice cuts of BBQ meats; we use local products from Oregon & Washington States. All of our rubs, BBQ sauces, side dishes, baked goods are made in-house, and fresh daily. We make our own sausage; smoke our bacon; smoke our corned beef, and smoke certified seafood from local fisherman. We use no preservatives, are gluten conscience, and package to go orders as environmentally friendly as possible.
Ours is the only true Alder wood fired BBQ on the central Oregon coast. This means we use whole wood harvested right here in Lincoln County. We don’t use chips, or charcoal, pellets, lighter fluids or liquid smoke in the bottom of our roasting pan. Simply put we use real wood, to bring you real BBQ that’s truly flavorful and tender meal.
Our Breakfast menu is truly unique for the Oregon coast. We use the BBQ meats in omelets, biscuits and our own sausage gravy, breakfast sandwiches and more.
We also cater BBQ events, parties, and all kinds of gatherings. We can come on-site or package our BBQ in easy to handle containers for you to serve.
